Innovation first. Profit follows.

Founded by T. S. Ramanan in 1977, GLO has grown from a photo developing lab into one of India’s largest digital presses.

A photographic beginning.

In 2009, GLO introduced the non-tearable wedding album. Our work in photographic printing grew into new materials, personalised products and commercial print. That approach continues across GLO Imagic, GLO PAC and Glossy Design Studio.

A note from our founder.

Draft for founder approval.

Every order carries someone else’s work—a photograph, a brand or an idea. Our responsibility is to treat it with care and be clear about what we can deliver.

I am grateful to the people, customers and partners who have built GLO with us. We want the next generation to inherit a business they can trust.

Innovation driven by passion.

T. S. Ramanan with a framed AI recreation of his early darkroom work

I moved from Rajapalayam to Chennai and started developing prints in a small darkroom in T. Nagar. Work in the cinema industry followed, and what we learnt there opened new possibilities for photographers.Innovation remains my greatest pride. I have always wanted to see what we could do differently—try a new material, explore a new technology, or find a possibility others had not yet seen.

The legacy I want to leave is not simply a bigger business. It is a company that stays curious, has the courage to go first and shares what it learns with the industry. Thank you for being part of that journey.

Ink runs in the family.

I grew up playing hide-and-seek with my sisters in GLO’s darkrooms. This business was part of my childhood long before it became my responsibility.

Over the past decade, we’ve looked inward and reinvented ourselves—from photo printing to complete print solutions, then to a technology-led business. Today, we’re bringing AI into that journey, rethinking how we work and what we can offer. The next chapter is about making print easier to create, order and deliver. I’m bringing the curiosity I inherited—and a few ideas of my own—to that work.

Inventors of the non-tearable wedding album.

We look beyond a machine’s standard applications. By testing materials and combining printing and finishing techniques, we turn technology into new products. The non-tearable wedding album, introduced in 2009, is part of that approach.
